Der Beitrag rekonstruiert eine markante Übereinstimmung in den Gemeinschaftsentwürfen des deutschnationalistischen Schriftstellers E. G. Kolbenheyer und des fantastischen Autors Gustav Meyrink aufgrund gemeinsamer kulturhistorischer Paradigmen. Trotz divergierender ideologischer und thematischer Impulse in ihren Texten zeigt eine vergleichende Analyse im Rückgriff auf Ferdinand Tönnies‘ Gemeinschaftsbegriff, dass beide Autoren den deutsch-tschechischen Nationalitätenkonflikt als Element einer übergeordneten Gemeinschaftsform inszenieren. Dabei lässt das soziale Prinzip eine nuancierte Sicht auf die Diskontinuität des Desintegrationsprozesses zwischen Tschechen und Deutschen in Böhmen zu.

This paper deals with a distinctive similarity in the concepts of community by the German nationalistic author E.G. Kolbenheyer and the fantastic author Gustav Meyrink based on shared cultural and historical paradigms. Despite divergent impacts regarding ideological notions and topics in their texts, a comparative analysis referring to the popular term ‘Gemeinschaft’ by the sociologist Ferdinand Tönnies shows that both authors represent the national conflict of Germans and Czechs as part of a superordinated version of ‘Gemeinschaft’. The social principle allows for a detailed perspective on the process of disintegration between Germans and Czechs in Bohemia.
